School Holiday Shops bring so much joy

Updated: Aug 11

When Christmas morning arrives each year, our family gathers around the tree in our pajamas, coffee in hand, and watches each other open the gifts we have chosen with love. It is one of our favorite traditions, cozy, joyful, and full of laughter.

In that moment, we always take time to think about all the children who shopped at their school’s Tip Top Holiday Shop. Somewhere, a mom is unwrapping a “Best Mom” mug, a grandpa is putting on a new pair of warm socks, and a teacher is hanging an ornament on her tree, all picked out by little hands that were so proud to give.

The thought of thousands of kids across the country experiencing that same joy with their families brings so much happiness to ours. It is a beautiful reminder that what we do is about so much more than gifts. It is about creating moments kids and their loved ones will remember forever.

Did you have a holiday shop at your school when you were a child? We would love to hear your memories in the comments.
