What Schools Should Know Before Booking

A holiday shop works best when the school understands both the benefits and the responsibilities before signing up.

Review the full program model, including:

  • What Tip Top provides

  • What the school provides

  • The volunteer-run format

  • Profit options

  • Inventory and return responsibilities

  • Agreement and cancellation terms

  • Who the program is and is not designed for

 Inventory, Shipping, and Unsold Merchandise

Your school does not purchase a starting inventory. Tip Top ships the holiday shop merchandise and supplies to your school, and the school pays for the items sold during the event. Unsold gifts and unused supplies are returned after the shop using Tip Top's return process.

The detailed inventory guide explains what arrives, how reorders work, what volunteers do during closeout, and the normal return deadline.

 Gifts and Merchandise

Tip Top provides affordable, student-friendly gifts for family members, friends, teachers, and pets. The assortment includes fun items, useful everyday gifts, keepsakes, accessories, seasonal items, and novelty products.

The Gifts page explains what "quality" means in an elementary school holiday shop, what the program is designed to provide, and what schools should expect from the assortment.

School Partnership Agreement and Cancellation Policy

Tip Top uses a one-season School Partnership Agreement. It is not a multi-year commitment. The agreement documents the shop dates, profit option, responsibilities of both parties, payment terms, returns, and cancellation policy.

Review the plain-language summary before booking. The signed agreement always controls if a summary and the agreement differ.

Comparing Holiday Shop Vendors

Schools often compare Tip Top with companies such as Penguin Patch, Natalie's Holiday Shop, and Lil' Shopper's Shoppe.

Use the vendor comparison guide to evaluate the details that matter most: agreement length, cancellation terms, profit options, inventory obligations, return shipping, processing fees, payment tools, reorders, student assistance, and volunteer responsibilities.

Pricing, Profit, and Fundraising

Tip Top Holiday Shop can be run as a service-focused event or a school fundraiser. Schools select a 0%, 10%, or 25% profit option. The selected option affects the selling prices assigned through Tip Top's code-based pricing system.

The pricing guide explains profit calculations, sales tax, processing fees, price ranges, and the trade-off between keeping prices lower and increasing the school's profit percentage.

ABOUT US

Family Owned

What started as a side hustle around our kitchen table has grown into a family-run business serving schools nationwide. For the past 10 years, our family has worked year-round to make Tip Top Holiday Shop better for the schools, volunteers, and students we serve.

We have grown from one warehouse, to doubling that space, to purchasing another warehouse this year that added 10,000 square feet of room for gifts, supplies, packing, and preparation. Even as we grow, our purpose stays the same: helping schools host holiday shops that feel organized, affordable, and special for every student.

Tip Top is run by Amy & Kevin and their daughter Madeline. Together, we choose gifts, prepare materials, support schools, and think through the details that make each shop easier for volunteers. And even though Tip Top has grown, we still believe in being personally available. Schools have our cell numbers, and we are here when volunteers need us.

We are proud of how far Tip Top has come, but we are most grateful for the schools and families who have trusted us along the way.
